When you think ‘Greek Food’ you might think long lazy lunches in the sun or a big sharing dinner with the family, but how about Greek breakfast? Believe it or not, us Greeks know a thing or two about putting on a proper brekkie, and it goes further than Greek yoghurt – although there’s no denying we love it! What’s more, breakfast at my place is all-day, so there’s no rush to get out of bed on a Saturday morning.
Greek Breakfast – Hungry Donkey
On the menu I have Strapatsada (scrambled eggs with fresh tomato, Cretan mizithra cheese, basil and olive oil) Pastourma Eggs (scrambled eggs with beef pastourma, smoked Mestsovone cheese, spring onions and boukovo) and my Breakfast Pita Wrap (omelette, Greek sausage and htipit) amongst other things. Drinks include Greek coffee’s, freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade lemonade – so rise and shine friends, breakfast has gone Greek!
